An Astrologer's reflections on the zeitgeist as reflected in the cyclic configurations around us

Samhain and time to get rid of the shackles once and for all. It's one thing to have new people come in to the house and behave in a way that means they won't be invited back, it's another to continue on the road of trying to fix the unfixable that is decades old. Just because someone is related by blood doesn't give them the right to use a relative as a dumping ground. It's a new day, every day. On the Day of the Dead, several of us got together here and performed disentangling rituals w/prayers of gratitude & forgiveness. Today I heard the person next to me in line @ the store tearing herself a new one over some small bit of forgetfulness, and then justifying her self loathing with the claim of being a recovering Catholic. Well. Whatever is being recovered from, get recovered.

As we come up on the conjunction between Mars [desire & assertiveness] and Uranus [erratic, & sudden] opposing Saturn [blocking & grounding] we can expect all of the frustration of the last few weeks to come to a breaking point on April 14-15. It's a good time to claim responsiblity for one's own conduct and reaction. This isn't a time to begin new projects, that window opens just after the next New Moon, unless you are doing something that you want slow development on. The collective is doing a massive spring cleaning until then.

Cosmic Weather Report 4/10/09
Coming up to Wednesday the 15, there is an increasing need to buck the trends, express individuality and look for the threshold to freedom. We'll be slowed down in this process by the demands of time to attend to those things we'd rather ignore. It is an elegant coincidence that tax time is here hand in hand with Spring Fever. What better illustration of a Mars- Uranus conjunction opposing Saturn. The Moon is waning now and so actions taken won't produce results quickly, and Venus is still retrograde for a few more weeks which tells us that we are in a period of re-evaluating what we thought we wanted for our immediate social interactions.
